Resiste el calor, el viento, la cal y la sal del suelo, es resistente a la sequía.
El Nerium Oleander necesita un suelo que presente un buen drenaje, de ahí que se desarrolle en zonas arenosas.
Para obtener una buena floración debe regarse convenientemente, a pesar de su gran resistencia a la sequía.
